First issued in October 1989, the Vienna Philharmonic gold coin is Europe’s most successful investment coin and since 2002 has been the first gold coin with a currency denomination of 2000 shillings in 100 euros. On the obverse is an image of the Vienna Concert Hall, and on the reverse are instruments used by the Vienna Philharmonic.
