Description
The 1st Krugerrand coin was issued in 1967. The Krugerrand was the first coin to have a gold content of one ounce. This is one of the most popular gold coins worldwide. The main impurity in the product’s composition is copper, which can be seen in the coin’s color. The obverse features Paul Kruger and the reverse features an antelope, which is the national symbol of South Africa, the year of minting (2022) and Gold weight (1 oz) . It’s name is derived from Kruger’s surname and the country’s currency, the Rand, which is why it is spelled with a double “R”.
